Wedding Coordinator: A Modern Proposal (Day of Coordination)

Florist: Wonderful Weddings

Ceremony Venue: St. Albert Catholic Church

Reception Venue: Woodvale Golf Course

Rentals: Special Event Rentals

Backdrop: A Beautiful Day Decor

Michelle wanted a clean and classic wedding with champagne, white, and navy as her color pallet. The bridesmaids looked stellar in the navy blue dresses and Michelle like a beautiful bride in her gown. The ceremony took place in the St. Albert Parish Catholic church (click on more for more photos!).

I once again had the absolute pleasure in working with the Woodvale staff. The food was again superb and the service exceptional. As you can see in the post below, there was quite the transformation in the space for this wedding

trend: chair covers

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Often I am asked, “could chair covers really make that much of a difference, really?”  Well take a look for yourself, in my opinion they make a world of difference, one from a nice wedding to an elegant wedding.

tip: plan for your photos!

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

The day goes by so quickly, as you will hear from any bride. So in order to ensure you don’t miss anything you need to plan ahead because you won’t have too much time to think on the day of! So plan your photos ahead of time with your photographer. Give them a ‘must have photo list’  for family photos and discuss your locations you would like to go, and ENSURE you have a back up plan just in case.

Another tip, don’t make people travel. If you are having family photos have the photos right at the church/ceremony location. Otherwise people get lost or are very late – decreasing your photo time.

Last week I was very busy with Michael and Haley from Shandro Photo. Two very amazing photographers in Edmonton. I was able to join them on a five day experience, a Sikh wedding. It was more than an experience, words cannot describe how much fun and how awesome of a wedding this was. The couple was/are amazing people and the same with their families. They were willing to take the time to explain traditions and customs to me. Honestly if you have the opportunity to take in a wedding of a different culture, don’t by pass the opportunity. Here are a few of their photos from the wedding; please check out their blog post for a great peak on what went on over five days of “awesomeness”.

trend: floral alternatives

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

As beautiful as floral centerpieces are, there are many non floral centerpieces that can make quite the impression! Many brides are trying to find eco friendly and money saving alternatives to flowers. Think outside the box and create a unique centerpieces for you day!

Think: pumpkins, oranges, blueberries, cranberries, apples, lemons, limes, branches, sand, coffee beans, shells…
