There is a huge misconception about Carnations in the wedding + floral industry, that they are a cheap horrible looking flower. I beg to differ. They have a beautiful ruffled texture and come in pretty much any colour under the rainbow and are a very hardy flower. Making them an ideal filler or primary flower. One of the variations of carnations you may not recognize is the green trick. It’s the last photo, the green mossy looking flower. Yup, that’s a carnation, but most florists won’t call it a carnation because most people turn away from that word.
