RENAISSANCE HOTEL EDMONTON||EDMONTON WEDDING PLANNER
When Emily came to me and asked for a winter wedding to incorporate feathers, antlers, and fur – I have to say I was intrigued and excited. It was a very different theme and I think we pulled it off really well.
We were lucky, Emily’s mother was very good with a sewing machine, as you have no idea how hard it is to find Fur table runners or any squares. I found some blankets that her mom then cut up into squares and sewed so we had fur under the centerpieces, with the antlers coming from Emily’s lovely guests, and the Pysanky eggs were made by Emily’s mother as well. An absolutely stunning touch and tribute to her Ukrainian heritage. Emily painted and glittered all the feathers and animals – which were used as escort card holders and for the table numbers.
To continue the winter theme, we made a custom backdrop with a fire mantel with lots of flowers and candles, so romantic!
